Homeland Insecurity!

   Welcome to the Unvarnished Truth!  The Blog for independent thinkers fed up with political spin and gridlock.  It’s time to return to common sense in government.  Our elected officials need to understand whom they are working for; and it’s not the myriad lobbyists or their political party.  They work for all Americans!

I am a member of the ‘Boomer Generation’; positioned between the so-called ‘Greatest Generation’ and the ‘XYZ Generations’, we have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly of America, and the world.  I remember when republicans and democrats could come to a consensus about what was best for America.  Today the congress is two parties that can’t agree on anything, except that the other party is wrong.

We need to have a dialogue about our rights and freedoms as Americans.  Over the years, our courts and congress have steadily eroded our constitutionally guaranteed rights.  Cameras in the streets, and data mining computers spy upon us.  The current government exhibits an unhealthy shift toward theocracy, while fostering an anti-intellectual attitude toward mainstream scientific thinking.  Instead of strong homeland security and statecraft, we have chosen a preemptive foreign policy that has tarnished America’s world image.

America doesn’t have time for this nonsense!  We live in a world where many potential crises are looming just over the horizon.  Global warming and Peak Oil will lead to global war, starvation, and disease.  The eighteen to thirty-five year- olds of the world will have to face these problems, and solve them or perhaps perish; yet the elite controlled corporate media machine, rarely if ever touches on these issues except with obliquities.  The truth can be found at the grassroots level on the Internet.  For the most part, corporate news and entertainment have portrayed Internet journalists as malcontents and nuts.  Because the Internet has become the ‘everyman outlet’ to sound off, one must learn to read between the lines to discern truth from fiction.  The Internet is the only way to bring the power of intellectual, scientific, and entrepreneurial thinking to bear on the impending crises facing the planet.  World governments are moving too slowly; they are mired down in national politics, and religious fanaticism.  The global financial and industrial elite have no allegiance to any country, only money!  They seek to reduce us all to a common denominator; we will be insignificant cogs in their money machine, with low standards of living and poor wages.  Join me as we use the Internet to influence the course of humanity!  There is strength in numbers; together we will bring the power of the people to bear on world governments.
